Social media users have been baffled by this creepy footage which appears to show the Earth breathing, and viewers are unable to settle on an explanation.
The footage was shot by Brian Nuttall in Apple River, Nova Scotia on October 31 in the midst of Hurricane Patricia and has been liked more than 14,500 times.
As seen in the footage, it’s really hard to determined what really is going on.
One social media user said that the phenomenon could be a result of rain water running underneath the moss. The other said that the wind could be moving the depleted or dead roots of nearby trees, causing the moss to lift and fall. While others were just amazed by the video.
