A glass bridge in Henan province China was seen broken on October 5, 2015, causes panic to the tourist.
“I was almost at the end and suddenly I heard a sound. My foot shook a little. I looked down and I saw that there was a crack in the floor.” According to Lee Dong Hai, a tourist who was on the bridge.
“I heard a bang from under…Everybody is screaming. I cried, ‘It’s really cracked! It’s reallycracked!’ And pushed the people in front of me to get away.” A user posted on Weibo, a social media website in China. But later deleted the post, saying that he was so much bothered by people.
Yuntai Mountain tourism bureau spokesperson told that the cracks occurred after a tourist dropped a small thermos on the glass pathway. A total of three layers of glass was broken, so the tourists were not in danger, the spokesperson told People’s Daily Online.
The bridge was just opened to the public in September, but now it is closed for any activity and repair.
Recently, China unveiled this glass bridge and it is the longest glass suspension bridge in the world. The recent incident will surely affect the flow of the tourists in this attraction. We are hoping for the safety of everyone.
